今年は自分も周りも、住民票やら戸籍やら色々と移転だらけだったのに、サーバーまで移転してしまいました！
MovableTypeもosCommerceもインストールしたし、データベースとかあるから移転は大変そうだなあぁぁ
と思っていたけれども、容量が2GB増えて年7000円位も安くなるなら、勉強にもなるしやっぱり移転した方がいいなと思い決めました。
私がやった手順をご紹介します。
1、必要なファイル（テンプレート、画像等、JavaScript、プラグイン等）をバックアップ
2、旧サーバーのMySQLのデータベースをエクスポート
phpMyAdminにログインして、私は文字コードでUTF-8（MTで使っているのと同じもの）を選択、
「エクスポート」をクリック。
「テーブルを全部選択」する。
構造の所の「DROP TABLEを追加」をチェックする。
「ファイルで保存する」をチェックする。
「実行」をクリック。
「データベース名.sql」がダウンロードされます。
3、新サーバーに必要なファイル（テンプレート、画像等、JavaScript、プラグイン等）をアップロード
4、新サーバーのMySQLでデータベースを新規作成
データベース名もユーザー名やパスワードも今までのと同じにしました。
5、新サーバーにMovable Typeをインストール
6、データベース内のサイトパスとかを新サーバーへのサイトパスに置換
旧サーバへのパスと新サーバへのパスとに変更がある場合、テキストエディタで「データベース名.sql」を開いて変更箇所を置換する。
私は「home/userID/public_html/MTをインストールしたフォルダ」→「virtual/userID/public_html/MTをインストールしたフォルダ」に変更。
7、新サーバーにMySQLのデータベースをインポート
phpMyAdminにUTF-8でログインして「インポート」をクリック。
「データベース名.sql」を選択して「実行」。
データが2MB以上の場合は分割してインポートしなくてはいけないらしいです。
その場合は「SQL」メニューをクリックし、「データベース○○○上でクエリを実行する:」の中に「データベース名.sql」の中身をそのまま少しずつコピペして実行するのを繰り返すみたいです。
8、再構築！
これで終了のはずです。
私の場合は他にも色々テンプレートを直したりパーマリンク変えてみたりしたので、もっとごちゃごちゃと色んな事をしないといけなかったのですが。
今までのやり方も忘れていた上に、MTのバージョンが4.0.1になって、設定画面とかが結構変わっていたのでそこで少し手間取りました。
データベースを移動する時は少し緊張しましたが、大した事ない記事が少しあるだけだったので、勉強にはとても良かったです。
